Wednesday, September 5th The excavator dug a small portion of the hole in the evening. He only works in the evenings and on Saturdays, so it will take him the rest of the week to finish the hole. |

Friday, September 7th The excavator finished most of the hole. |

Saturday, September 8th The excavator finished the the hole. In all, it took about 10 hours of digging. The hole is 4 feet deep where the basement goes, and the trench where the garage footings go is 2 feet deep. |
